Quantities are planning estimates based on common Indian wedding catering norms. Share them with your caterer — they will fine-tune for their recipes and portion sizes.
How the estimate works
Portions shrink as variety grows: with more curries or starters, guests take a little of each. The calculator adjusts per-guest quantities for the number of varieties and counts children as half a portion.
Before you order
- Share the estimate with your caterer and ask how they portion each dish.
- For lunch events in summer, increase drinks and water.
- Plan how leftover food will be shared or donated.
